Skylight Strategic Partners was founded in 2025 in the wake of the closure of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).‌ ‌ Skylight was launched to continue advancing Africa’s energy and climate transition by leveraging longstanding work and deep expertise in advancing energy access, electrification, and climate-resilient development. Through strategic partnerships, public-private collaboration, and blended finance strategies tailored to the continent’s evolving energy and climate landscape, the firm draws on a trusted network of strategic advisor and industry partners to deliver smart, collaborative, and locally grounded solutions across the continent.‌

Skylight Strategic Partners was founded by Megan Taylor, former Energy Transition & Partnerships Advisor for USAID’s Power Africa initiative. With more than 15 years of experience working for and with the US Government - in both Africa and Washington, DC - Megan has a demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships across a multitude of actors to foster collaboration and promote coordination on shared priorities that address the energy trilemma in sub-Saharan Africa.

With a deep network of senior level contacts from local and international governments, the private sector, MDBs, DFIs, and philanthropic communities, Skylight brings unmatched insight and insider knowledge of the donor landscape — driving the acceleration of public-private collaboration to advance decarbonization in sub-Saharan Africa.
